The Open RAN Policy Coalition is hosting a virtual event, “Startup Innovation in the Open RAN Ecosystem,” which focuses on the importance of promoting a vibrant ecosystem to enable creative solutions that are interoperable and standards-based, as well as how breaking down barrier to open interfaces will drive competition, ease entry for new innovators and pave the way for next-generation networks. Brian Deutsch, Chief Executive Officer of Pivotal Commware, will join a panel of industry experts to discuss how startups and emerging companies will impact Open RAN and technology leadership for 5G and Advanced Wireless Networks.
Open RAN Policy Coalition virtual event to take place Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. ET. Open RAN Policy Coalition member CEOs Paul Jacobs of XCOM-Labs and Ray Dolan of Cohere Technologies will host FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr for a fireside chat before the panel discussion.
Brian Deutsch is one of the inventors of Holographic Beam Forming (HBF) technology. Pivotal’s mmWave ecosystem solves mmWave’s most vexing challenges and turns the perceived weaknesses of mmWave propagation into strengths—providing mobile and fixed wireless access subscribers with the 5G speeds they expect, while reducing network operators’ network deployment costs by as much as 70 percent and shaving months, if not years, from 5G deployment time, according to independent research from Mobile Experts. Pivotal’s solutions are being deployed to expand mmWave coverage in public spaces, homes, and enterprises as a part of 5G networks including Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband.
Brian will also be joined by other panelists from DeepSig and Airspan Networks.
