5G is the fifth-generation wireless technology that promises faster data speeds, lower latency, and increased capacity compared to previous generations. 5G products are products designed for use in 5G infrastructure deployment, IoT deployment, 5G backhaul deployment, small cell deployment applications, and more. 5G Open-Radio Unit for O-RAN Deployments

The A1001-RU-1 from AmpliTech is a 5G Open-Radio Unit (O-RU) for n78 band from 3.55 to 3.7 GHz. It utilizes GaN power amplifiers along with 64 phased array elements for digital beamforming. This O-RU consists of three main parts: the first is the Radio Frequency Processing Unit (RFPU) which includes the antennas, high power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, duplexers, and other functions. The QPB9362 from Qorvo is a Front-End Receiver Module that operates from 2.3 to 5 GHz. It integrates a low noise amplifier (LNA) and a high-power handling RF switch. This module allows the switch to be used as a fail-safe termination path when the radio operates in transmit mode. It provides a gain of 35.5 dB with a noise figure of 1.2 dB and has an output P1dB of 17 dBm. This module requires a DC supply of 5 V and consumes 90 mA of current. The QPB9362 is available in a land grid array (LGA) package that measures 5 x 3 mm and has been designed for 5G wireless infrastructure applications configured for TDD-based mMIMO architectures. The PE42446 from pSemi is an SP4T Switch that operates from 10 MHz to 8 GHz. It provides more than 60 dB of isolation to prevent interference and maintain signal integrity and has a switching time of 250 ns. This switch integrates seamlessly into 4G and 5G base stations and massive MIMO architecture and provides digital pre-distortion (DPD) feedback loops and transmitter monitoring signal paths. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 4 x 4 mm and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The CMX90B702 from CML Microcircuits is a Gain Block that operates from 23 to 29.5 GHz. It provides a small signal gain of 17.5 dB with a noise figure of 4 dB and has an output P1dB of 5 dBm. This gain block has been fabricated using a GaAs pHEMT process to provide optimum gain, linearity, noise, and low DC power consumption. It is highly integrated to minimize the external component count and board area. The gain block requires a single positive DC supply from 3 V to 5 V and consumes 40 mW of power. Upconverter and Downconverter for 5G Radios from 24 to 29.5 GHz

The ADMV1128A from Analog Devices is a Microwave Upconverter and Downconverter that is designed for 5G radios from 24 to 29.5 GHz. It has an integrated upconverter (a transmitter), a downconverter (a receiver), and a LO chain with options of a 2x or 4x multiplier in one chip. Both upconverters and downconverters offer two modes of frequency translation. One mode is conversion from and/or to single-ended or complex intermediate frequency (IF) signals, which then pass through an on-chip 90° IF hybrid, known as IF mode. The other mode is a direct conversion from and/or to differential baseband in-phase/quadrature (I/Q) inputs and outputs, known as baseband mode.
