Murata Manufacturing has developed the world's smallest 15 µH inductor with a 0402 size (1.0 x 0.5 mm) package size. The new LQW15DN inductors have been developed for communication devices such as smartphones and are now under mass production.
Inductors for communications devices such as smartphones require miniaturization of the components for multifunctionality and multimodality as well as large inductance values for booster circuits installed in RF antenna tuning circuits and bluetooth modules. The LQW15DN realized a maximum inductance of 15 μH in 0402 size (1.0 x 0.5mm) due to Murata’s unique materials and design technology, enabling contribution to the miniaturization and high-efficiency of the circuit.
