PCTEL’s Quality Management Systems has been awarded with the ISO 9001:2015 standard certification. ISO 9001 is the world’s most widely recognized standard for quality management systems. PCTEL’s facilities in Bloomingdale, Illinois; Germantown, Maryland; and Tianjin, China each passed independent audits to upgrade their certification from the previous ISO 9001:2008 standard.
ISO 9001 certification requires that a company make continuous improvements to its system while paying close attention to evolving customer needs. The new standard emphasizes risk management and requires greater involvement from high-level management.
PCTEL’s ISO 9001:2015 certifications cover the company’s Quality Management Systems for the design, manufacturing, and sale of electronic test equipment and antenna products for the wireless industry. The certifications are currently effective for Germantown and Tianjin. Certification to the new standard will become effective for PCTEL’s Bloomingdale operations on September 15, 2018 (upon expiration of Bloomingdale’s existing ISO 9001:2008 certification).
