Southwest Antennas has released a new C-band omnidirectional antenna with an integrated bandpass filter. The Part # 1085-220 is new addition to their expanding line of antenna products that include integrated filters to help improve the performance of attached radio systems in RF-congested environments such as cities or other urban areas, military bases, government facilities, and more.
The 1085-220 has a 4 section collinear element design, which provides 6 dBi of peak gain. The antenna features a 4.4 to 5.0 GHz operating frequency, with an internal bandpass filter to help mitigate interference from co-located radios or other transmissions outside of the antenna’s operational frequency range. By integrating the filter inside of the antenna the user doesn't need to remember an additional system component or worry about powering any additional devices.
The 4.4 to 5.0 GHz operational frequency band coverage is ideal for DOD, Federal Law Enforcement, Homeland Security, and NATO licensed band applications.
The antenna's weatherproof sealed spring base can bend +/- 45 degrees, providing protection against damage to the mated RF connector and radio system if the antenna is struck by another object. The weatherproof seal protects the spring against rain, dust, mud, sand, or other debris that could foul the spring or impact antenna performance. Click here to learn more about this antenna.
