The AWMF-0162 from Anokiwave is an integrated Quad-Core Beamforming IC that operates from 26.5 to 29.5 GHz. It supports four Tx/Rx radiating elements, includes all requisite beam steering controls for phase and gain control, and operates in half-duplex mode to enable a single antenna to support both Tx and Rx operation. The IC offers gain compensation over temperature, temperature reporting, Tx power telemetry, and fast beam switching using on-chip beam weight storage registers. It requires a DC supply voltage of 1.8-2.5 V and has ESD protection on all pins. The AWMF-0162 is available in a WLCS package for easy flip-chip installation and is ideal for 5G phased array applications in n257 and n261 bands.
