The PE188100 from pSemi is an 8-Channel Beamforming Front-End Module that operates from 24.25 to 27.5 GHz covering the n258 5G band. It has an integrated power amplifier, low-noise amplifier, limiter/combiner, and a phase and amplitude beamformer for each channel. This beamforming module supports up to four dual-polarity antennas or eight single-polarity antennas. It operates in TDD mode switching PA/LNA branches connected to each antenna port and has on-chip storage for up to 32 state modes, providing control of all amplifiers and switches for each channel. This beamforming module supports CP-OFDM 64 QAM modulation technique.
The PE188100 can be controlled via an SPI interface. It is available in a tape and reel package and is ideal for use in 5G base stations, 5G customer premises equipment (CPE), and point-to-point radio applications.
