The BFM02801 from Sivers Semiconductors is an RFIC and Antenna Module that operates from 24.25 to 29.5 GHz covering all licensed 5G mmWave bands. It consists of integrated T/R-switches, low noise amplifiers, antenna array, high-performance synthesizer, and programmable baseband filters. The module delivers Tx power of up to +45 dBm and supports electronic beam steering of ±45° (azimuth and elevation). This beamforming transceiver has 32 (2x16 H+V) ports enabling two data streams supporting 2 MIMO layers and supporting RF tiling of multiple transceivers for large array antenna configurations. It is ideal for 3GPP 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) applications.
The module has a wide band transmit and receive antenna array optimized for the 28 GHz band and supports connection to the baseband modem through analog IQ (Zero IF) or IF interfaces. It supports autonomous calibration routines and simple baseband interfaces for easy management and installation.
