The UBE-1.5-30.5 from GeoSync Microwave is an Outdoor Block-Up Converter that converts an input frequency from 1 – 2 GHz to an output frequency (RF) from 30 – 31 GHz. It has a local oscillator (LO) of 29 GHz and an LO leakage of better than -80 dB. This BUC provides a gain of 33 dB and has an output P1dB of more than +13 dBm. It provides an image rejection of more than 70 dB and has a noise figure of less than 15 dB. The BUC has spurious levels of -75 dBm (signal independent) and phase noise of up to -160 dBc/Hz (at 1 kHz offset).
The UBE-1.5-30.5 integrates a strong set of monitoring and control functions for remote control and provides a contact closure summary alarm for fault monitoring. It can be remotely controlled via RS422, RS485, and Ethernet interfaces. This BUC allows users to automatically select internal/external reference (5 MHz or 10 MHz option) and can electronically adjust the internal reference frequency. It is available in an IP65-rated weather-resistant enclosure with N-type (female), SMA (female), and 2.92 mm (female) connectors (with waveguide interface options). It requires an AC supply from 90 V to 250 V and consumes 16 W of power.
