The FG360-MEA from Fibocom is a 5G NR Sub-6 GHz Module that has been designed for the Middle Eastern and African market. It supports both 5G standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) network architectures, delivering enhanced transmission speed, greater carrying capacity, and reduced network latency for homes, businesses, and mobile users. This 3GPP Release 15-compliant module can be seamlessly integrated with fixed wireless access (FWA) elements such as CPE, ODU, gateways, routers, and industrial, and medical terminals. It requires a DC supply of 3.8 V.
This 5G module has a built-in MTK T750 chip that is fabricated using a 7 nm process. It supports 5G NR sub-6 GHz dual-carrier aggregation (2CC) over a channel bandwidth of 200 MHz, offering an exceptional 5G broadband experience. The FG360-MEA offers 6 and 8 antenna configurations to cater to various customer requirements. It uses the PCIe 3.0 interface to connect with Wi-Fi chips and support other configurations such as AX1800/AX3600, which expands high-speed wireless network coverage for devices. This module utilizes a 256-QAM modulation scheme to deliver a data rate of 4.67 Gbps (downlink) and 1.25 Gbps (uplink) in the 5G NR Sub-6 GHz mode. It delivers a data rate of 1.6 Gbps (downlink) and 211 Mbps (uplink) in the LTE mode using the 256-QAM modulation.
The FG360-MEA is available in a land grid array (LGA) package that measures 41.00 x 44.00 x 2.75 mm and can be controlled via USB 3.1, PCIe 3.0, SGMII, and SDIO 2.0/3.0 serial interfaces.
