The LEOLINK200 from ReliaSat is a Beam Steering Antenna that operates in the Ka-Band from 27 – 31 GHz (Tx) and 17 – 21 GHz (Rx). It can be used for satellite aviation, and ground communication in remote areas and for 5G system applications. This antenna has a low profile with a flat geometry, enabling wide operational bandwidth, good polarization, and high EIRP. It is based on a phased array design with 1024 antenna elements incorporating complex tapering algorithms to enable very high sidelobe suppression and prevent interference due to neighbouring spacecraft. On the Tx side, this LHCP/RHCP-polarized antenna provides a gain of 39 dBi and has a VSWR of less than 2:1 while on the Rx side, it has a G/T of 21 dB/K and a noise figure of 2.5 dB.
The LEOLINK200 also supports GNSS constellations such as GPS L1/L2/L5, Galileo, and GLONASS, which are used to connect multiple platforms such as aircraft and other mobile platforms with low earth orbit (LEO) satellites. It consists of platform slots that can be used for integration into a standard commercial airframe and also supports other formats. This antenna directly interfaces with any software-defined radio (SDR)/modem for remote configuration. It requires a DC supply from 12 to 50 V. This beam steering antenna is available in an enclosure with rugged SMA connectors (Tx) and 2.92 K-type connectors (Rx). It is ideal for drones and UAVs, remote internet reception, autonomous vehicles, mobile LEO satellite platforms (e.g. aerospace), and satellite 5G base station applications.
