The ADRF5534 from Analog Devices is a Front-End Module that operates from 3.1 to 4.2 GHz. This module has integrated LNA, high-power silicon SPDT switch, and on-chip bias and matching. In Tx mode, this FEM has an insertion loss of 0.8 dB and a long-term evolution (LTE) average power of 37 dBm for a full lifetime operation (8 dB peak to average ratio (PAR)). In Rx mode, this module provides a gain of 35.5 dB and has an insertion loss of 1.3 dB. It requires a DC supply of 5 V and consumes 120 mA of current in Rx mode and 15 mA of current in Tx mode. The FEM is available in a 24-lead LFCSP package that measures 5 x 3 mm and is ideal for wireless infrastructure, TDD massive multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) & active antenna systems, and TDD-based communication system applications.
