The CHW3021 from CoreHW is an RF Front-End (RFFE) IC that operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM Band. It consists of a power amplifier (PA), a low noise amplifier (LNA), an antenna switch, and a built-in chip antenna. The antenna can be swapped to enhance the performance of various wireless devices. On the Tx side, it delivers an output power of 10 to 13 dBm while on the Rx side, it provides a gain of 15 dB and has a noise figure of 1.9 dB.
This CHW3021 antenna can be tuned according to the requirements and achieves high antenna efficiency. It consists of 50-ohm matched transmit and receive ports, and does not require external matching components. This IC requires a DC supply from 1.8 to 3.6 V and consumes 2 mA of current (LNA). It is available in a ball grid array (BGA) package that measures 2.0 x 2.0 x 0.5 mm and is ideal for Bluetooth, Zigbee, Thread, and 2.4 GHz ISM Band applications.
