The NW-RF-GPS-FE from NuWaves is an RF Front End Module for GPS applications with a transmit (Tx) frequency from 1626.5 to 1675 MHz and a receive (Rx) frequency from 1518 to 1559 MHz. It delivers more than 20 W of saturated output power with a transmit gain of 43 dB and a receive gain of 47 dB. The module can handle up to 12 dBm of input power and operates on 27-32 VDC supply while consuming 3.25 A (typical) of current. It has a switching speed of up to 2 μS and a module efficiency of 35%.
This high-performance RF front end module is a powerful combination of the NuPower 13G05A RF power amplifier, a low noise figure LNA, a high isolation diplexer between the transmit and receive paths, and band-reject filters. It supports both constant envelope and complex waveforms such as APSK, QAM, DVB-T, etc. The NW-RF-GPS-FE is available in a module that measures 10.25 x 6.00 x 0.80 inches with SMA-female connectors and is suitable for applications such as RF telemetry, RF communication systems, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), satellite terminals, and software-defined radios (SDR).
