The QPB9850 from Qorvo is a single-channel Front-End Module that operates from 2.3 to 5 GHz for 5G TDD systems. It has an integrated low-noise amplifier (LNA) with a high-power handling switch, which can be used as a failsafe path to termination when the radio is in transmitting mode. The LNAs can also be powered down during Tx mode via the SW control pin on the module. This FEM provides a gain of 34 dB with a noise figure of 1.2 dB. It requires a DC supply of 5 V and consumes 90 mA of current. The FEM is available in an LGA package that measures 3 x 3 mm and is ideal for wireless infrastructure, 5G AAS mMIMO radios, small cells, and 5G TDD system applications.
