The QTM567 from Qualcomm is a 4x4 5G mmWave Antenna Module that has been designed for fixed wireless access (FWA) customer premise equipment (CPE). This module is paired with Snapdragon’s X75 modem-RF system and consists of a 5G NR radio transceiver, power management IC, RF front-end components, and phased-array antenna. It also utilizes Qualcomm’s 5G FWA Ultra Gen 3 platform, which enables it to dynamically rotate the module to receive the strongest signals and achieve high performance. This module allows mobile operators to offer high-performance, lower-cost fixed internet broadband services over their 5G network infrastructure by enabling modem-controlled motors for beam management.
The QTM567 can be configured to support 16 to 64 dual-polarization antenna elements, allowing it to deliver peak EIRP of 53 dBm and it complies with Power Class 1 and 5 devices. It can combine up to 8 carriers with carrier aggregation and has a bandwidth of 1000 MHz. This module supports dual-layer polarization in both downlink and uplink signals and features beamforming, beam steering, and beam tracking capabilities for bidirectional mobile mmWave communication. It offers a wide scan angle, which provides great deployment flexibility for mmWave CPE devices. This antenna module is available in a surface-mount package and is ideal for 5G NR and 5G mmWave applications.
