The QXM19xx from Qualcomm are Wi-Fi Front End Modules that are designed for automotive applications. They operate in the 2.4 GHz (2400 – 2483 MHz) and 5/6 GHz (5150 – 7115 GHz) bands and consist of small-size RFFEs with integrated active and passive components. These FEMs support Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7 standards with advanced Wi-Fi 7 features like 320 MHz channel support, multi-link operation (MLO), 4K QAM, etc. They have an integrated power amplifier (PA) supporting several high linearity and high-efficiency modes and an integrated low noise amplifier supporting high gain, high efficiency, and bypass modes. These FEMs also include an integrated SPDT switch for single antenna Wi-Fi Rx and Tx operation and an integrated directional coupler for precise transmit power control.
The QXM19xx FEMs deliver a comprehensive modem-to-antenna solution when paired with automotive grade Qualcomm® FastConnect Wi-Fi Series for flexible, cost-effective, high-performance, high-reliability Wi-Fi connected experiences. They are automotive AEC-Q100 compliant and enable OEMs to quickly develop and launch powerful Wi-Fi solutions at scale featuring automotive-grade components for the latest connected car requirements. These modules have 50-ohm RF ports and require no external RF-matching components. They are available in low-profile laminate packages with integrated ESD protection on all pins and have an extended operating temperature range for telematics applications.
