The SKY55501-1 from Skyworks is a 5 GHz Front-End Module (FEM) that supports simultaneous 5 GHz WLAN and licensed assisted access (LAA) systems. This highly-integrated module incorporates a 5 GHz low-noise amplifier (LNA) with bypass supporting 5 GHz WLAN and LAA simultaneous RX reception, and an SPDT transmit/ receive (T/R) switch.
The FEM has a receive gain of 12.5 dB, a bypass loss of 8.5 dB and requires a supply voltage if 3.7 V. It is available in a 1.7 × 2.1 × 0.7 mm 20-pin Multi-Chip Module (MCM) package and is ideal for connected home applications and is suitable for smartphones, tablets, Wi-Fi-enabled handsets, mobile/portable systems, and 5G new radio applications.
