The SKY58109-51 from Skyworks is a Front-End Module for multi-band 4G/LTE and 5G NR applications. It consists of power amplifier (PA) blocks, low-noise amplifier (LNA) blocks, integrated bi-direction RF coupler with cascade support, and duplexers for LTE Bands 1, 3, 40, 32, 25, 66, 30, 7, 41, 34, 39. The enhanced architecture of this module covers multiple bands and meets the spectral linearity requirements of LTE QPSK, 16QAM, and 64QAM modulations and New Radio DFTS-OFDM and CP-OFDM modulations up to 190 MHz bandwidth. This module controls the output power by varying the input power and has a low leakage current in power-down mode to maximize handset standby time. It includes a temperature sensor and autonomous over-voltage protection.
The SKY58109-51 includes two auxiliary MB Tx outputs for external filters, two auxiliary HB Tx outputs for external filters, two auxiliary TRx ports for additional bands, and an auxiliary mid-band antenna switch input for 2G Tx output from the low band module. It has two programmable 3.0v Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPI) standard digital control blocks. This FEM is available in a SkyShield™ self-shielded module that measures 6.40 x 6.25 x 0.77 mm with RF inputs and outputs matched to 50 ohms.
