The SKY5A5012 from Skyworks Solutions is a Rx Front-End Module (FEM) that operates from 925 to 2690 MHz. It consists of multi-band, variable gain low noise amplifiers (LNAs) to enable compatibility with next-generation LNA-less LTE transceivers. The module supports all key 2 and 3 carrier aggregation band combinations. This AEC-Q104/PPAP/IMDS-qualified module is compatibility with 3GPP GSM, WCDMA, LTE, LTE-A, and 5G standards and includes filters for B8, B26/5/18/19, B28A, B28B, B3, B39, B25(2), B34, B66 (1/4), B40, B41(38), and B7 bands.
The SKY5A5012 supports downlink carrier aggregation (CA) with standard CA and 2CA MIMO, and is equipped with multi-on, N-plexing technology for superior non-CA/CA performance. It has low insertion loss and the module comes with integrated package shielding to ensure high reliability. This receive module has MIPI RFFE v3.0 interface for control. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 3.5 x 3.6 x 0.7 mm and is ideal for telematics (4G/5G), network attached devices, and automotive applications.
