The 1027-034 from Southwest Antennas is an Active GPS L1 antenna that operates from 1565 to 1585 MHz. This right-hand circularly polarized (RHCP) passive antenna provides a gain of up to 1.5 dBic and has a VSWR of less than 2:1. The antenna has an integrated active low noise amplifier that provides a gain of 11 dB and has a noise figure of less than 2.3 dB. It has been designed to provide accurate timing and location services for GPS receivers, manpack radios, hand-held tactical radio systems and other small form factor radio systems.
The 1027-034 provides narrowband dual SAW filtering with an out-of-band rejection of more than 40 dB; from 35 MHz above and below the L1 center frequency. This hemispherical antenna has a horizontal beamwidth of 360° and a vertical beamwidth from 113° to 133°. It provides a jamming resistance of 50 V/m with in-band jamming and also features burn-out protection.
The 1027-034 is available in an IP67-rated package with an integrated 3.42-inch coaxial gooseneck assembly, that has an SMA-male non-rotating connector, allowing flexible antenna positioning. The gooseneck is sealed with a polyolefin heat shrink that provides a waterproof seal up to 20 m or 65.6 ft. This low power, low noise antenna is suitable for use in navigation systems, military & security, manpack radios, handheld radios, small form factor radios, low profile vehicle mounts, unattended/ Intelligent Munitions Systems, dismounted soldier-level communications, unmanned ground vehicles, IED recognition & destruction jamming systems, asset tracking, precision timing, LBS & M2M equipment, oil & gas industries, law enforcement, mobile computing, and UAV systems.
