The BCM4778 from Broadcom is an L1, L5 Band GNSS Receiver that is designed for mobile and wearable applications. It uses Broadcom’s proprietary Grid Tracking technology that simultaneously tracks line-of-sight and multiple reflections from each satellite to enhance urban accuracy. The receiver supports advanced multipath mitigation, L5 acquisition capability, in-band, and out-of-band LTE filtering, and jamming protection features. It has an integrated switching regulator, PMU with a direct connection to the battery, and high-performance LNAs to reduce the PCB footprint. The receiver is based on 7 nm CMOS technology and has an ultra-low power consumption.
The BCM4778 is available in an FCBGA tape and reel package that measures 2.4 x 2.7 x 0.65 mm and is ideal for use in smartphones, mobile accessories, wearables, and tablets.
