The Transcend 900 from Advantech Wireless is a Point-to-Point Microwave Radio that operates in licensed and unlicensed bands from 6 to 24 GHz. It provides a full-duplex throughput of up to 900 Mbps with software-adjustable channel bandwidths from 3.5 and 112 MHz and a hitless adaptive modulation scheme from QPSK to 1024 QAM.
This radio has an integrated antenna and provisions traffic capacity based on priority or can change it dynamically (adaptively) to provide the best throughput (can be according to CoS priorities, or QoS for VoIP traffic). It has in-built digital pre-distortion functionality along with Bit Error Rate (BER) monitoring. This radio requires a DC supply of -48 V, consumes less than 40 W of power, and supports Power-over-Ethernet.
The Transcend 900 supports advanced Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) for dynamic and seamless adaptation to the path propagation conditions and increased network availability with decreased antenna size. The ACM is ideal for Ethernet IP backbones, where instantaneous capacity can be traded for sustained availability during fading conditions. It has built-in traffic priority to ensure the safe delivery of information with low latency and minimum packet loss in transmission. This radio includes RJ45 Ethernet, SNMP, and EMS interfaces for control and management and has an option for an SFP slot for optical GE.
This radio is available in an all-weather IP67-rated enclosure that measures 315 x 265 x 130 mm and is designed to meet service providers’ stringent requirements for a high capacity, low cost of ownership carrier-grade backhaul solution.
