The BroadOne™ GX4000 from Fujitsu is a Versatile E-Band Radio that operates from 71 to 76 GHz and 81 to 86 GHz. It provides an Ethernet throughput of 3 Gbps, has a channel size of 4500 MHz, and latency of less than 50 µs. This radio uses Fujitsu’s impulse radio technology which provides various advantages that include reduced power consumption, reduced size and weight, and low latency due to direct data to impulse modulation. It is available with an integrated 30/60 cm parabolic antenna. The radio requires a DC supply of -48 V, consumes 25 W of power, and can also operate on an AC supply.
The GX4000 is available in an enclosure that measures 23.0 x 23.0 x 5.6 cm and is ideal for mounting on small poles to provide latency-sensitive traffic such as for CPRI. It can be utilized to easily establish point-to-point connectivity between buildings and/or towers in high-speed Ethernet and CPRI networks, including small cell applications, HDTV transport, and other latency-sensitive applications.
