The QPA4246D from Qorvo is a Power Amplifier that operates from 37.5 to 42.5 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 10 W (~40 dBm) with a small signal gain of 16 dB and power-added efficiency (PAE) of 17%. This MMIC amplifier is fabricated on Qorvo’s production 0.15 um GaN-on-SiC process (QGaN15). It requires a DC supply of 24 V and consumes 280 mA of current. The amplifier is available in a surface mount package that measures 4.2 x 5.0 x 0.5 mm. The RF ports have DC blocking capacitors, and the RF input port is DC coupled to the ground for optimum ESD performance. It is ideal for use in communication systems and commercial & military radar applications.
