The Ciseco XRF is an RF Serial Data Module that operates in the ISM bands from 868 to 915 MHz. It provides an out-of-the-box wireless RF serial connection without any need for programming or end-user configuration. This module can send data over 3 KM using the standard supplied whip antennas or 500 meters on the standard antenna. It supports network identifier PANID and serial bootloading. It can be used in low power wireless applications, industrial monitoring and control, wireless sensor networks, wireless alarm and security systems applications. The XRF has now had over an equivalent of 40 million hours of run time in the field, quite stagering for something so affordable.
