The SaBLE-x-R2 from LSR is a 2.4 GHz certified Bluetooth low energy module. This module provides an output power of 5 dBm with a receive sensitivity of -96 dBm. It can deliver over 2x the signal range and can operate at nearly 1/3 the average power for a 1 second connection interval when compared to previous Bluetooth low energy modules. This self-contained module integrates an ARM Cortex-M3 application processor, ARM Cortex-M0 processor for the RF core, Sensor Processor Engine, flash memory, and high- and low-speed clocks. It is available in a surface mount package that measures 11.6 mm x 17.9 mm x 2.3 mm and is ideal for sensors, lighting, security, home automation, sports and fitness. This module has multiple certified antenna options like Trace, Dipole, FlexPIFA, and FlexNotch. LSR also offers in-house certification of additional antennas at little or no cost. The certification process is pending from CC (USA), IC (Canada), ETSI (Europe), Giteki (Japan), RCM (AU/NZ).
