The NORA-B20 Series from u-blox are Standalone Bluetooth 5.4 Low Energy Modules that support Thread, Zigbee, Matter and NFC 802.15.4 protocols. They are based on Nordic Semiconductor's nRF54L15 chip as an open CPU solution where customer applications run on a 128 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor. These modules support Bluetooth 5 features such as Angle-of-Arrival (AoA), Angle-of-Departure (AoD) and Bluetooth long-range communication (CODED PHY). They also support Bluetooth high data rate (2M PHY), Periodic Advertising with Response (PAwR), and Bluetooth mesh. The modules require a DC supply of from 1.71 to 3.60 V.
The NORA-B20 Series modules deliver a data rate of up to 2 Mbit/s with an EIRP of +10 dBm (with internal/external antenna) and have an Rx sensitivity of -98 dBm. They are available in packages that measure 10.4 x 11.2 x 1.9 mm (NORA-B201) and 10.4 x 14.3 x 1.9 mm (NORA-B206) and can be controlled via UART, I2C, SPI or GPIO interfaces. These modules are ideal for ultra-low-power IoT and can be used in connected tools, advanced medical wearables, smart lighting, asset tracking, indoor location, low-power sensors and wireless-connected and configurable equipment. They are suitable for industrial automation, medical and healthcare, telematics, smart cities and building applications.
