The PAN1783 from Panasonic is a Bluetooth 5.3 Low Energy (LE) Module that operates from 2402 to 2480 MHz. This module delivers a data rate of up to 2 Mbps with Tx power of up to 3 dBm and Rx sensitivity of -104 dBm. It is based on the Nordic nRF5340 SoC featuring two 64 MHz ARM Cortex-M4 processors (one as an application processor and the other as a network processor) with embedded flash memory and internal RAM. This Bluetooth LE Module has 128-bit security encryption, on-module DC/DC, & LDO regulators with automated low current mode, and a built-in temperature sensor.
The PAN1783 supports LE 2M and LE Coded PHY protocols along with the angle of arrival (AoA) and angle of departure (AoD) direction-finding techniques. It requires a DC supply from 1.7 to 5.5 V and consumes 5.3 mA of current in Tx mode and 3.7 mA of current in Rx mode. This Bluetooth low-energy module can be controlled via GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, PWM, and QSPI interfaces. The module is available in a surface mount module that measures 15.6 x 8.7 x 2 mm.
