The P1 from Particle is a tiny Wi-Fi module that operates from 2.412 to 2.472 GHz. This module contains a Broadcom Wi-Fi chip and a reprogrammable STM32F205RGY6 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller. The module has an on-board PCB trace antenna and a u.FL connector which allows the user to connect an external antenna if required. These two antenna outputs are selectable via a user API, made possible by an integrated RF switch. It is available in a surface mount package that measures 28 x 20 x 2 mm and is FCC, CE and IC certified.
