The TDEMI ULTRA Series from GAUSS INSTRUMENTS are Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RTSAs) that operate from 9 kHz to 40 GHz. They have specifically been developed for EMC Testing (Emission Testing). This series of fully integrated spectrum analyzers have a real-time analysis bandwidth of 685 MHz. They utilize GAUSS INSTRUMENTS’ patented technology with an advanced DSP concept and support ultrafast spectrum scanning.
They are ideal for use in labs and can support testing of most civil standards (e. g. CISPR, EN, FCC Part 15, ANSI C63.2, ANSI C63.4), military standards (e. g. MIL-461G, but also its previous versions and revisions) as well as avionic standards (e. g. DO-160). These analyzers fulfil the CISPR 16-1-1 Ed 3.1 requirements as well as all later editions and have been designed for pre-certification as well as final certification.
The TDEMI ULTRA Series RTSAs combine an ultrahigh performance stepped scan mode with ultrahigh performance technology and offer a large variety of configuration possibilities. They have a dynamic range of 100 dB (@0dB attenuation and preselection off) which can be increased to more than 170 dB with an automatically stepped attenuator and an ultrahigh performance preselection. These RTSAs have a probability of intercept of 300 ps and can detect, measure and investigate very short, intermittent signals or single events. They are powerful measurement equipments for emission testing on the market and also suitable for measurement and testing according to telecommunication standards as ETSI.
For EMI measurements the TDEMI® ULTRA has an extremely fast scanning speed. Pre and full compliance measurements can be carried out by a factor of 64,000 times faster than other solutions. For measurements using the quasi-peak detector the duration of a scan in the range from 30 MHz – 1 GHz is reduced from hours down to a few second for full compliance testing and product certification.
The TDEMI ULTRA Series of analyzers include a user-friendly graphical user interface and a 10.4” touch screen and can be remotely controlled and fully automated via Ethernet (TCP/IP). They can operate on AC/DC supplies or by a battery pack and consume 90 – 130 W of power. This flexibility enables them to perform on-board testing in vehicles, boats or aircraft. The frequency range of the TDEMI ULTRA systems can be extended down to DC by the available option DC-UG.
