The AWMF-0218 from Anokiwave is an Up/Down Converter IC for 5G phased array applications that operates from 37 to 43.5 GHz. It has an on-chip frequency multiplier that simplifies board-level integration with external PLLs and also includes an integrated Tx/Rx half duplex switch. This half-duplex IC integrates Tx single-sideband up-conversion and Rx image-reject down-conversion functionality with low-side LO. It is designed to work together as a complete IF to mmWave solution and to enable a 3GPP compliant n260/n259 signal chain. This IC uses advanced digital and detection functions for array-level optimization and DC power controls. It is fully compatible with Anokiwave Beamformer ICs and together they enable low-cost, high-performance, and feature-rich 5G phased array systems.
The AWMF-0218 has a flat wideband IF and RF response and supports autonomous temperature telemetry and rejection. It utilizes patented ZERO-CAL function to eliminate the need for array level calibration which increases manufacturing line yields and reducing radio cost. This IC is available in an FC-CSP package and requires a single DC supply of 1.8 V. This up/down converter IC is ideal for 3GPP compliant 5G communications arrays and SATCOM transceivers applications. It also supports 802.11ac and 802.11ax waveforms for private wireless networks.
When used together with Anokiwave’s beamformer IC products, this device enables low-cost, high-performance, and feature-rich 5G phased array systems. The half-duplex IC integrates Tx single-sideband up-conversion and Rx image-reject down-conversion functionality. An on-chip frequency multiplier simplifies board-level integration with external PLLs.
