The APMQS20 from AnaPico is a Signal Generator with a frequency range from 100 kHz to 20 GHz. This module has been designed to replace the QuickSyn FSW-0020 frequency synthesizer, which was phased out by NI a few years ago. AnaPico’s APMQS20 serves as a drop-in replacement, providing an uncomplicated transition for QuickSyn users and ensuring uninterrupted performance.
This signal generator has a frequency resolution of 1 MHz, a power resolution of 0.01 dB, and a power range of -20 to +16 dBm. This signal generator has a switching speed of 500 µs and a low phase noise of -133 dBc/Hz at 1 kHz. It utilizes a high-stability OCXO to provide accurate, power-calibrated, phase-lockable output signals. This generator delivers instrument-grade performance, increased functionality, and efficient power consumption at a reduced size and affordable cost. The low spurious and harmonic signal content makes it ideally suitable for many demanding applications.
The APMQS20 can be remotely controlled with USB, LAN, or SPI interfaces. It is available in a portable enclosure that measures 177.8 x 127 x 25.4 mm and can support battery operation. This signal generator is ideal for use in ATE, a local oscillator for a frequency converter, characterizing antennas, semiconductors devices, or other components, and a local oscillator for frequency converter applications.
