The UMNZ1 from Alps Alpine is a 5G-NR Module that is designed for automotive applications. It is backward compatible with 2G GSM, 3G WCDMA, and 4G LTE and supports 3GPP Release 15-compliant C-V2X features. This module can be used in combination with V2X systems and provides the capability to communicate and interact with everything around vehicles such as road infrastructure, other vehicles, and pedestrians. It has been developed for global use outside China and also supports GNSS and DSDA features.
The UMNZ1 module has an automotive-grade design that controls module flatness for stability in mounting. It has an original structure that enhances heat dissipation and suppresses heat generation to maximize performance. The module is available in a package that measures 60.0 x 60.0 x 4.5 mm and requires a DC supply of 3.7/5.0 V. It is ideal for use in telematics control units (TCU), V2X on-board units (OBU), and V2X road-side units (RSU) applications.
