The Type 2AN from Murata is a V2X Module that supports both Dedicated Short-Range Communications (DSRC) and Cellular V2X (C-V2X) standards. It is based on IEEE 802.11p (DSRC) and 3GPP Release 14/15 (C-V2X) standards and uses two Autotalks chipsets (CRATON2 IC and PLUTON2) for V2X communication that support both V2V as well as V2I communication modes. This module includes an ARM Cortex A7 processor which is capable of running V2X middleware and applications with an optional secure CAN MCU. It requires a DC supply of 3.3/5 V. The module is available in a package with a metallic casing that measures 38.5 × 37.5 × 8.5 mm with board-to-board connectors and supports multiple interfaces like Ethernet, SPI, UART, USB, and CAN for advanced connectivity options.
