The AG59xE Series from Quectel are 5G-NR and C-V2X/DSDS Automotive Modules. They support both 5G-NR NSA and SA architectures and include support for 4G/3G/2G fallback. They deliver a downlink data rate of up to 4.4 Gbps and an uplink data rate of up to 900 Mbps in 5G NSA mode. These modules support multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technology and optionally support C-V2X PC5 direct communications and DSDS for improved automated driving services. They include ESD & EMI protection for robust performance in harsh environments.
The AG59xE Series modules are based on the AEC-Q100-qualified Qualcomm SA522M chipset. They consist of AG590E (5G + DSDS + C-V2X) and AG591E (5G + DSDS) variants, each of which contains multiple models (AG59xE-CN, AG59xE-EU, AG59xE-NA and AG59xE-ROW). These modules have a multi-constellation GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo and QZSS) chipset that uses Qualcomm IZat location technology Gen 9 VT and additionally support dual-frequency GNSS L1 + L5/L2 (L2 optional), PPE (RTK) and QDR 3.0 integrated navigation solutions for quicker, more accurate and more dependable positioning capability.
The modules are available in LGA form factor packages and are ideal for connected car solutions, self-driving cars, telematics boxes (T-Box), telematics control units (TCU), advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), C-V2X (V2V, V2I, V2P) systems, on-board units (OBU), roadside units (RSU), and other automotive/traffic system applications. They are IATF 16949 qualified and compliant with automotive quality processes such as APQP and PPAP.
