The ESP8089 from Espressif is a highly integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi SoC developed for tablets and set top boxes. It integrates antenna switches, RF balun, power amplifier, low noise receive amplifier, filters and power management modules - all in one tiny package that measures 5 x 5 mm. It also integrates adaptive radio biasing for low-power operation, advanced signal processing, spur cancellation and radio co-existence features for common cellular, Bluetooth, DDR, LVDS, LCD interference mitigation. By using an advanced power-management technology which implements power-down modes whenever necessary, the ESP8089 consumes minimal power. The typical current consumption is less than 12uA in sleep mode, and less than 1.0mW (DTIM=3) or 0.5mW (DTIM=10) when staying connected.
