A cellular IoT module is an integrated wireless module that is designed to provide cellular network connectivity to physical IoT devices. It enables these devices to transmit and receive data via mobile networks, making them part of the “Internet of Things” (IoT).

Typically, a cellular IoT module consists of a chipset, onboard microprocessor, memory, a power supply connector, antenna port, software, and other supporting circuits for providing cellular network connectivity.
