Grandstream Networks has introduced a new Wi-Fi access point for beta testing. The Grandstream Beta Club is looking for experienced beta testers with extensive knowledge of the wireless networking market, specifically using Wi-Fi access points with a variety of routers and in a wide-range of deployment scenarios, for the beta test. Ideal applicants with hands-on experience deploying wireless networks, especially people who have worked with networking products from vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Aerohive, Ubiquiti, TP-Link and Mikrotik, need be preferred.

Interested applicants can apply online from the 16 to 31 of May - https://betaclub.grandstream.com/

Grandstream recently entered the networking solutions market with their debut of the GWN series of wireless access points and routers. Their first product, the GWN7610 Wi-Fi AP saw incredible success in the market, quickly garnering increased demand for new models. The company has since introduced the GWN7600 Wi-Fi AP and the GWN7000 Enterprise Router to expand the product line, and plans to further enhance the GWN series offering with the addition of a long-range, outdoor Wi-Fi access point.

The new beta test showcases a long-range outdoor weatherproof (-30°C to 60°C) Wi-Fi access point, featuring Wave-2 802.11ac with 2x2:2 MU-MIMO and beam forming technology. The Wi-Fi AP supports wireless throughput of up to 1.27 Gbps with up to 275-meter coverage range. The device includes 2 Gigabit network ports with integrated PoE (802.3af). Each AP can support 450+ concurrent Wi-Fi devices. Most distinctively, the AP features an embedded controller that allows it to auto-discover, auto-provision and manage up to 30 other Grandstream APs in a network.

Each product beta test released through the Grandstream Beta Club will have a limited number of beta test units available. Selection of participants will be determined by Grandstream based on applicant's qualification. The cost to participate in a beta test will be $1 to cover handling; however the product model and shipping will be free of charge for each active beta tester. There is no charge to applicants who are not selected for a Beta test. 80 units of the Wi-Fi AP will be available for shipping to selected Beta Club members around mid-June, 2017.
