The CGY2330UH/C1 from MACOM is a 6-bit Ku-Band Beamforming IC that operates from 13.25 to 14.75 GHz. It provides a gain of 5.5 dB with a noise figure of less than 12 dB and has an attenuation range of 31.5 dB. This IC is manufactured using a 180 nm gate length pHEMT technology (ED02AH) which has been evaluated for space applications and is on the European preferred parts list of the European Space Agency (ESA). It requires a DC supply of 3 V and consumes 16 mA of current. The chip is available as a gold-plated Titanium/Platinum die that measures 5.85 x 1.5 mm and is compatible with ultrasonic wire bonding. This beamforming IC is ideal for radar, telecommunication, and instrumentation applications.
