The WLAN8201C from NXP Semiconductors is a 2x2 MIMO Wi-Fi6E Front-end Module that operates from 5.150 to 7.125 GHz. It includes two monolithic front-end ICs, each having an integrated power amplifier, a low noise amplifier with bypass functionality, and an SPDT switch. The FEM has 5 Tx operation modes per band which enable flexibility for power efficiency adaptation and 2 Rx operation modes per band which enable gain stepping between the LNA mode and bypass mode. It also includes coexistence filters for both transmit and receive channels.
The WLAN8201C is available in a surface-mount package that measures 3 x 4 mm with ESD protection on all pins. It is suitable for Wi-Fi 6E applications in smartphones, tablets, netbooks, and other portable computing devices and module applications for embedded systems.
