The SiWx915 from Silicon Labs is a Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 SoC that operates at 2.4 GHz. It delivers a data rate of up to 86 Mbps (Wi-Fi) and up to 2 Mbps (Bluetooth). This SoC has a 180 MHz ARM® Cortex®-M4F application MCU, an embedded 672 KB SRAM and an 8 MB flash with optional external PSRAM support. It has an integrated Wi-Fi stack, TCP/IP stack, and Bluetooth stack supporting wireless coexistence and Matter over Wi-Fi with Bluetooth LE commissioning.
The SiWx915 has an integrated baseband processor, RF transceiver, high-power amplifier, balun and T/R switch. It is compliant with single-spatial stream IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax and supports 802.11ax 20 MHz features such as OFDMA, BSS Coloring, MU-MIMO, and Target Wake Time (TWT). This SoC supports advanced Wi-Fi and Networking security features like WPA, WPA2 (Personal/Enterprise) and WPA3 (Personal).
The SiWx915 requires a DC supply of 1.75 V to 3.63 V and can be controlled via SDIO, USART, UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, SIO, PWM and QEI interfaces. It is available in a QFN package that measures 7 x 7 mm and is ideal for a wide range of embedded wireless IoT applications like smart homes, consumer health and wearables, clinical medical, industrial, retail, smart building and cities, and asset tracking.
