The LX5589A from Microchip Technologies is a complete Wi-Fi Front End Module (FEM) that supports IEEE 802.11a/n/ac systems. It includes a highly linear 5 GHz Power Amplifier (PA) with a power detector, Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) with bypass capability, and an SPDT antenna switch. On the Tx side, the module provides a saturated output power of 17 dBm and has a gain of 30 dB. It requires a DC Supply of 3.3V with a current consumption of 210 mA. This RoHS2 Compliant and Halogen-free module reduces the system footprint, bill of materials, and manufacturing cost. It is available in a QFN package that measures 2.5 x 2.5 x 0.9 mm.
