The STWLC68 from ST Microelectronics is a Wireless Power Receiver IC suitable for portable applications and capable of managing up to 5 W of output power. The chip has been designed to support Qi 1.2.4 specifications for inductive communication protocol and Base Power Profile (BPP). This receiver provides 3.6 to 20 V of programmable output voltage with 25 mV resolution. It includes a 32-bit 64 MHz ARM Cortex microcontroller and an 8-channel 10-bit A/D Converter with 6 configurable GPIOs.
The STWLC68 integrates a low-loss 27 V synchronous rectifier and a low drop-out linear regulator to provide a good efficiency performance of up to 80%. This stand-alone device is housed in a Chip-Scale Package (WLCSP72) to fit real-estate solutions in wearable devices.
